A New Year, A New Name and A Bigger Purpose

 01/19/2024

The remarkable growth across Parker County over the past decade is bringing exciting new opportunities to small business owners throughout the region and with those opportunities comes a need for expanded services. In response, the forward-thinking East Parker County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors has moved from several years of discussion to action when, at its October meeting, the board unanimously approved a concept to meet those needs as Parker County has become a growing destination for families and businesses.

To welcome in the New Year, the East Parker County Chamber of Commerce will be called the Parker County Chamber of Commerce (PCCC). Already a key resource for businesses in Willow Park, Aledo, Hudson Oaks and the Annettas, the Parker County Chamber of Commerce will work to increase its level of service and impact in the county.

"With this decision, the Chamber has also trademarked a slogan that represents our purpose," said President and CEO Lisa Flowers. "The phrase, 'Your Gateway to Parker CountyƤ' is truly descriptive of our goal. We are seeing growth across Parker County and each of its towns are affected by the decisions of the others.  Since its founding, the Chamber has focused on serving as Parker County's Conduit for ConnectivityƤ for the business community and this new emphasis encompasses that growing vision."

Already focusing its efforts on six of the 19 communities in Parker County, with this move the 5-Star East Parker County Chamber of Commerce, dba Parker County Chamber of Commerce, is proactively addressing the significant growth of the county & population by building on its already substantial toolbox of services offered to businesses across the county. As the PCCC, it will continue to recognize the unique aspects of the cities found within its borders with the goal of being fully prepared to assist them in their efforts to meet the needs of their businesses and customers. It will continue working in partnership with other Chambers in Parker County as it continues to focus on its mission to enrich, promote, and advocate for business growth that enhances our members and community.

"Parker County's astonishing growth over the past 10 years is just a glimpse of what is projected to be by 2030 and continuing through 2050," said President and CEO Lisa Flowers. Gaining and maintaining a foothold with local and state leaders is going to be crucial as decisions are made that will affect our members. Our success and established relationships with those leaders have afforded the Chamber the opportunity to provide insight that helps these elected officials be more effective in serving their constituents. This influence is just a part of what the PCCC will bring to area businesses in the coming years.'
